We are the Trio Huasteco Zorzal !
It is very simple, if you need a boost of joy, listen to our music. We are very proud of our culture, and we have the necessity to bring and share the joy of our music with other cultures. We celebrate diversity and the uniqueness that each culture has. Our contribution to this diverse city is to bring a smile to people through the extremely jubilant music from Mexico.
Zorzal is a son huasteco trio (mexican folklore music) from the northeast region of Mexico called Huasteca. The so called Son Huasteco or Huapango, is warm and joyful music, played and sang by the three huapangueros. With the line-up of a Jarana (5 strings guitar), a Violin and a Guitarra Huapanguera (8 strings guitar) the trio combines poetry, improvisation and dance into colorful songs. Zorzal has the ambition to build a bridge between the Mexican folklore music Son Huasteco and the jazz scene in Amsterdam.
